#19 Sunday Afternoons

She couldn’t hold back the tears.  I knew she was crying when I said hello and got no answer, suddenly she let out a sob.  The tears were coming from unmet expectations and the feeling of ridicule from the voices in her head.  Somehow, she was only able to see the awful demise of the consequences of her actions and not the expansion of her development.

That is how most of us live.  Through the eyes of someone else, forgetting or sometimes not even discovering, our true essence.  Welcome to Sunday Afternoons.

  1. Grateful – For answered prayers. My eyes are now able to see a few things that I asked for.  Not necessarily in the package expected, but a more sturdy beautiful one.
  2. Waste of time – looking back.  If it isn’t your rear view mirror, just look forward.
  3. Something newMaya Ruldolph from SNL is Minnie Ripperton’s daughter.
